What a great job of blurring the lines. I loved how dark and cruel the heroes were! This is tied for my favorite series of all time. I sat dumbfounded and didn't know what to read for months after I finished it; nothing seemed good enough.

Slow start...  - posted by Raelynn 12-27-2006 14:16
I read this book at Rockys insistance. It was hard for me to get into, the writer was vague on background detail and it took me a while to figure things out. It had such a dark unusual story line but I loved it. I was intrigued by the man who wouldn't speak and his story and purpose. Good read. I named my injured pomeranian stray "Limper" after the character of the same name.

Very exciting set of books about a mercenary company that sells its services to the highest bidder. Set in a dark fantasy world. The villians in this one are great. Some of my favorite books.

These are some of the best books I've ever read. Unique in that the main characters are mercenaries so sometimes they work for the "bad" guys and sometimes the "good" guys. It's also unique in that's it's told in one's guy's point of view. These are books that I would own and reread.
