It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was one of only two books I read completely through for school. This was a good book and only one in school I didn't mind doing the 'busy' work for.

This is probably an unfair rating because I had to read this book for school and I hate most books that I have to read for school just because I feel the presure in reading

A Tale Worth Reading  - posted by Dane 12-16-2006 18:41
I believe that there is a conspiracy amongst High School english teachers to force students to read Dickens and other 'classics' just to forever destroy children's enjoyment of reading. HOWEVER, I'll give credit where credit's due. This is a great story. My favorite Dickens book by far. The story builds throughout the novel and comes together perfectly.

Great Ending  - posted by Rusty 12-16-2006 16:58
I am a big Charles Dickens fan, which helps a lot here because this story starts slow and continually builds up until the end. A great piece about the French Revolution with some Romance and intrigue thrown in as well.
