Great writing  - posted by Rocky Keele 04-18-2007 20:09
I have to agree with Dane that this author really brought out some intense emotions. I really HATED certain characters in the book. This author had a very good writing style too. In fact, after I finished this book, I tried reading a Terry Goodkind book, and had to put it down after a few pages because it seemed like it was written for a 3rd grader compared to Martin. The story was mostly political intrigue, which isn't my favorite, but it was fairly interesting. Some of the subject matter was a bit harsh, so that lowered my rating too. So, writing style 10+, story 8, content 7.

I have never read a more well crafted story, not even close. This series is deep, complex, epic, and brilliant on every level. This series brings out unbelievable emotions. There were times I wanted to call the author and scream at him through my tears.
