This is a rather famous science fiction book that won the Hugo Award back in 1961. It really is a collection of three stories about a civilization that rebuilds itself after nuclear war. All the stories have a common thread (setting, an old crazy man, and desire for more knowledge or political clout.) Interesting stuff, but not really action packed.

About a group of monks that preserve human knowledge after a nuclear war. The first part of the book takes place in Utah near the Great Salt Lake. A disturbing message about mankind. Oh, well...smile, be happy!
