If you have never used a mailing list before here is some basic information: A mailing list is just an email address that you can send email messages to. Whenever you send an email to the mailing list it will forward a copy of your message to everyone else on the list. This is convenient because you only have to send one message and everyone will get it. When you receive a message you can reply to the entire list by clicking the "Reply to All" button in your email application.
After you sign up for the mailing list you will receive a message that says 'Welcome to the "stories" mailing list', and it will give you more information. Anytime someone sends a message to the list it will have '[stories]' at the beginning of the subject line. Feel free to use the list for anything related to short stories / writing.
